Which is the best sleeping position is a question often asked by many. While some may feel comfortable sleeping on their backs, others may prefer the left or right side. 1 Sleeping on the back

Unless you are prone to snoring, this is the best sleeping position. Sleeping on your back is good for back and neck pain and also helps reduce wrinkles. It is also good for acid reflux.

2 Sleeping on either side

Sleeping on the left or right side benefits pregnant women but it isn’t the best sleeping position. It also prevents acid reflux and reduces snoring. However sleeping on the side is bad for the breasts.

3 Sleeping in the fetal position

This is a bad sleeping position that can hamper the diaphragm when breathing. Unless you’re pregnant in which case it is ok, the fetal position can cause arthritis and joint pain.

4 Sleeping on the stomach

For many, sleeping on the stomach may be a comfortable position but it can actually cause joint pain. With head to one side, this causes neck problems too as well as damage to the spine due to uneven spine position.
