According to family sources, 40-year-old Kollandeyithuveetil Shibu, his wife 34-year-old Siji and their 11-year-old son Aditya were killed in a horrific accident in Chathannoor in Kollam district. The father of two had left for India from Dubai early Friday morning, only to meet the tragic end. The driver and the insurance firm challenged the verdict and the appeal court reduced the blood money to Dh100,000. The family of a man who was killed in a road accident that resulted from reckless driving will be paid blood money of Dh200,000 in addition to Dh50,000 in damages for losing their relative, the UAE's top court has ruled. Official court records stated that the Asian man was killed in a road accident in one of northern emirates. Police investigations showed that the driver of the vehicle which belonged to a local company caused the accident because he was driving recklessly. The remains of Ana Fe Velasco Bania arrived in the Philippines Nov 2 from Saudi Arabia. She passed away Sep 29. Bania left the Philippines last year to work in Riyadh. Visa processing at some typing centres in Dubai has already stopped, as 50 new smart centers, Amer, are set to replace all typing centres starting November 1. General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) earlier announced that 50 Amer centers, a one-stop shop that allows residents to complete all visa and residency transactions under one roof, will replace 600 typing centres from November 1.
